Team Penning Summer Series DETAILS  
Join us every Tuesday at 7 pm beginning April 1, 2008 for an exciting evening of 
entertainment. See young and old alike compete for prizes in New Jersey's fastest 
growing sport. Cheer for your favorite team....or root for the steers. No need 
to travel to Wyoming....visit the Old West here at D&D Stables in Buena, NJ. 
 
  • USTPA Rules 
  • 75 Second Time Clock  
  • 4 Ride Limit 
  • 4 Cow Rule (no more than 3 cows over the line)
  • Judges & Promoter Decisions are final! 
  • Practice starts at 7:00 PM sharp followed by the PRO-AM JACKPOT. 
  • Team Penning uses 30 head of fresh cattle  
  • Event is 3 on 3
  • Ratings are Done by Promoter    
  • Year End Awards

FEES:
Practice: $5.00 per ride, $20.00 for 5 rides
Jackpot: $10.00 per ride
(change one partner, 4 ride limit)
TEAM PENNING BASICS

Three riders begin in the middle of the arena at the start line.

There are 30 cows (steers actually) positioned at one end of the

 arena with a pen positioned at the other end. When the timekeeper

 starts the event, 'Flags Up - Timers Ready', the riders are given

 a number at random. The objet of the Team Penning event is to cut

 the three cows with that number away from the rest of the herd and

 put them in the pen. The team with the quickest time wins the event.
